Anamrae is a 15-acre waterfront property on an island in Australia's largest inland waterway. With 180 degree views toward the Victorian High Country, kangaroos on the front lawn and koalas in the trees, this boutique retreat offers a unique natural environment. We created the name ~Anamrae~ from a combination of Celtic words meaning 'soul' and 'space'.

Anamrae began in 1995 with a vision/calling/dream to create a space for the burned-out [or slightly singed] to recover. A low-key but nurturing environment combining natural environmental beauty, simple but stylish accommodation, creative arts therapy, physical adventure, and spiritual engagement.

2008 – main house completed

Designed with a particular heart for those whose work nurtures the soul of others, Anamrae offers retreat, rest and re-connection. Contemplative creatives, spiritual seekers and nature lovers will all find something here. Catering for no more than 4 people at one time, it is truly a boutique, private retreat.
