Anamrae is a 15-acre waterfront property on an island in Australia's largest inland waterway. With 180-degree views toward the Victorian High Country, kangaroos on the front lawn and koalas in the trees, this boutique retreat offers a unique natural environment. We created the name ~Anamrae~ from a combination of Celtic words meaning 'soul' and 'space'.

Anamrae began in 1995 with a vision/calling/dream to create a space for the burned-out [or slightly singed] to recover. A low-key but nurturing environment combining natural environmental beauty, simple but stylish accommodation, creative arts therapy, physical adventure, and spiritual engagement.

Designed with a particular heart for those whose work nurtures the soul of others, Anamrae offers retreat, rest and re-connection. Contemplative creatives, spiritual seekers and nature lovers will all find something here. Catering for no more than 2 people at one time, it is truly a boutique, private retreat.
